Tuition

Policy

Tuition fees cover the cost of rental of rehearsal space, staff salaries, insurance, purchase of music, office supplies and other related business expenses. Tuition is due 2 times during the year. The first half of tuition is due in August. The second half of tuition is due in January.  A $25 late fee will be assessed for late payments. Registration and tuition fees are not refundable.

Non-payment can result in a Singer being dismissed from the program. Please email the President if financial difficulties present themselves.

We have introduced an online payment system. Families have the option of paying by credit card, debit card, or PayPal (you can create an account for free, which works just like paying by check). We strongly encourage you to use one of these forms of payment if possible. If you wish to pay via check or cash, please contact our Treasurer at treasurer@danvillegirlschorus.org for more information. There will be a $20 fee for any returned checks.

Tuition Discount

If more than one singer in a given family is a member of DGC, a family discount of 20% will be applied to EACH SUBSEQUENT child's tuition. Discount will be applied to the LOWER tuition.

Financial Assistance

The Choir has limited funds available for partial scholarships. Financial assistance is awarded on the basis of family income in combination with musical ability and availability of funds. Because finances are a private issue, please be assured that only the Artistic Director, Board President and Treasurer will be involved in the financial discussions. If financial difficulties should present themselves, please speak with the President to work out a satisfactory payment plan. The Board does not wish for anyone to feel the need to drop from the program due to finances.
