Danville Tree Lighting Ceremony

Each year, the city of Danville celebrates the holiday season with a ceremony where they light up the Old Oak Tree on Diablo Road in downtown Danville. The DGC Concert Choir kicks off the festivities with a lively performance of holiday songs, followed by the San Ramon Valley High School Chorus. Invite your friends and family to participate in this wonderful community event! The tree lighting usually takes place the day after Thanksgiving. The performance begins about 4:45 pm and the tree lighting will take place at approximately 6:15 pm.

Participation in this performance is optional for Concert Choir singers. Girls should arrive at San Ramon High School by 3:30 pm to warm up.

Save the (Concert) Dates!

Three times each year, the Danville Girls Chorus holds a formal concert where friends and family have an opportunity to watch performances from each of the choirs (Preparatory, Intermediate, Apprentice, Concert, and Honor). All members of the community are welcome and encouraged to attend. While our concerts are usually held in-person, we were still able to bring our songs to life through our livestream concerts during covid. See below for our upcoming concert dates, as well as links to our 2020-2021 concert videos!
